It is official! We were presented with the Distinguished Clinical Service Award on Friday at the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association and I could not be more proud. It is with such great pride that I can announce that our company has been selected to receive the Distinguished Clinical Service Program award for 2021 by the New York State Speech, Language, Hearing Association. The description of the award is as follows: "Awarded to clinical service programs that have contributed significantly and substantially to the clinical care of communicatively impaired individuals on a continuing basis. Criteria for this award may include, but are not limited to, quality of service delivery, innovative programming of services, outreach to the community, provision of a research ethic within clinical service, application of modern technology to service delivery, and integration of new research findings into clinical care". This has come as a complete surprise and we are so grateful. To put this in perspective, I don’t believe that this award has been given to any other private practice in the history of the New York State Speech, Language, Hearing Association. This is a such a huge honor that I find it hard to put into words. What I can tell you is that this would not be possible without our fantastic staff-from the secretaries to the teachers, therapists and audiologists!
